As a member of the National Honor Society at Ladue, I volunteer at multiple school-sponsored events for both the high school, the middle school, and within our local community. Just this past semester we ran activities for the Boo Bash at the Middle School. I volunteer at the St. Louis Book Fair. We provide tutoring support for younger students who need help with their studies. And I also volunteered and helped staff a Holiday Shop that is run at our school on the weekends during two weekends in December. Families who need extra support during the holidays can come to shop for free and select toys, books, and clothes for their loved ones.
A local St. Louis non-profit organization that means Kindness. Action. Responsibility. Education. It's mission is through introductions to non-profit organizations and global causes, K.A.R.E. Camps facilitate age-appropriate discussions, on-site visits, hands-on projects, and unique service opportunities to inspire girls and boys to be grateful, compassionate and kind. K.A.R.E. Camp opens hearts to a lifetime of compassion and giving back.
I serve as a camp counselor for K.A.R.E Camp each summer since I was 15 years old, leading a group of counselors each week as we did community service throughout the St. Louis area during the day camp. I would volunteer for two weeks every summer to serve in this leadership capacity because I enjoy working with kids and giving back. At the end of each week the campers would design and create their own fundraiser to help raise money for the non-profits that they supported through the week with their time and talents.
I volunteered at the local food bank with my friends to help sort food and packages.
Through my church at Salem United Methodist, I have volunteered by helping to prepare meals at Salem's kitchen for the youth at Epworth's Drop In Center.
I have been a member of the Robotics Team at Ladue High School since my freshman year. As a junior I served as a mentor for the freshman and sophomores who have joined our team.
Played JV Tennis for Ladue High School my freshman, sophomore, junior and planning senior year as well.
When I am not playing tennis during the spring high school season, I play Junior Tennis Team league in the summer, fall, and winter to continue to improve my skills and progress my game strategy.
